I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
